The
backyard in this Port Jefferson home needed an area
where the family could entertain.
This area, as we found it, (above) had an overgrown fish
pond, a haphazard collection of plants and shrubs, a low stone wall and little else.

| We designed a two-level area with a large patio and
pergola on the lower level and a smaller decorative
sitting area above. A natural
stacked-stone wall defines the two area and stone steps
access the upper level from two sides. A
combination of deciduous, evergreen, perennial and
ornamental plantings, as well as a new lawn on both
levels and an irrigation system to care for it all,
makes this a versatile and virtually maintenance free
living space. |
