A Water Feature is
an attraction in any landscape
pond-waterfallLarge or small, formal or informal, the dancing patterns of light, lush foliage and the relaxing sound of water gently splashing into a crystal clear pond is irresistible. Each one is as unique as a fingerprint yet all of them soothe the soul and serve as a haven from the stresses of day to day life.  A pond will add both a dynamic energy and a sense of serenity to any landscape and it can serve as a destination, a focal point or an integral part of your backyard ecosystem.

What makes or breaks any landscape job is the attention to details, especially when it comes to a pond.  A fundamental aspect of pond design is something called "plausibility". In other words, does the water feature seem as if it could have occurred naturally, or does it seem fake or out of place?  We build our ponds and waterfalls to seem as if they've been there all along by using gradual slopes, "occasional" boulders, and informal plantings.  We also use a variety of boulders, rocks and pebbles to conceal such things as the rubber liner, plumbing, filters, pumps and other hardware in an effort to make the pond seem as natural and realistic as  possible.

A well designed and well built water feature complements a landscape and doesn't "take over" and become just an ornament.  Properly done, a water feature should create the illusion that it's been there all along  This is done by working with what your yard offers in terms of natural setting and contour and by using gradual slopes, "occasional" boulders, and informal plantings.  Sometimes some additional soil can be brought in to add some curves or create some relief and the soil removed when excavating a pond is helpful in this way as well.  Placement of boulders, rocks and pebbles to conceal such things as the rubber liner, plumbing, filters, pumps and other hardware help to make the pond seem as natural and realistic as possible.

We can show you how to easily maintain your investment and answer any questions you may have or we can set up a program to maintain your water feature for you.  With consistent and sensible care, your investment will offer years of carefree enjoyment and endless hours of tranquility that only a water feature can provide.
