Two
styles of pavers are used in this job and two
different colors as well. These are
non-textured pavers, yet the overall effect has a
sort of cobblestone feel. |

Pavers
come in a wide variety of colors and textures.
The look can be anything from old and rustic to
uniform and modern. The choices and
combinations are almost endless. And, since
almost all paver manufacturers offer wall block as
well, an entire setting of walks and walls can be
created that will complement each other and
allow a uniform look. |

We
used a combination of styles and colors. The walks
are made with Nicolock® Roma pavers using a darker
border and a lighter field. The landing is also a
Nicolock product called Euro-Circle.
Neither style uses solid colors but rather a "salt and
pepper" mixture of dominant shades. The edge of
the walk, (called a soldier course), is a color called
Charcoal and the field as well as the circle are called
Marble Blend. What's nice about this installation
is that the edge is defined by a generally darker color,
but isn't outlined by it as it might be if all the
pavers were a single dark color. |
