Massive
stones are used for the base of these falls to provide
stability for the project itself and to also allow us to
create a wide dispersal area for the water.
Smaller, flat stones are used not only to add character,
but to also allow us to guide the water in various
directions to create the look we're after. |

After
the water feature was established and all of
the water was flowing properly, we turned
our attention to the rest of the job.
We installed a dry-laid flagstone walk
connecting both sides of the patio and
providing a sort of "strolling path" behind
the falls. A wooden swing offers a
place to stop and sit and enjoy the scenery. |
