This
client wanted something more than just a "pile
of rocks" for their poolscape.
Naturally, they wanted
something with visual interest but they also
wanted something that
would take more than a glance to fully
appreciate.
We designed a
multi-stepped waterfall which turns almost
ninety degrees and offers a wealth of
eye-catching features. Water
steps down five times before it reaches the
pool. Abundant perennial, deciduous and
evergreen plantings create a lush and enticing
palette of colors and textures turning this
backyard pool into an almost tropical resort. |

| The
falls themselves are quite interesting to watch. Water
splashing and cascading in a variety of directions and from
different heights creates a visual display that can't be
taken in at a single glance. The varying textures and
colors of the rocks and the plants keep the eye moving and
of course the calming and soothing effect of the sound
of falling water invites one to simply take a moment to sit
down, relax and forget about the stresses of daily life for
a while. |
