This project started out with a functional but very dated deck and patio with an aluminum awning.

The homeowners wanted to basically update both the deck and patio as well as replace and expand the aluminum awning with a wooden roof and architectural columns.

Composite Decks, Wood Structures, Wooden Awnings, Wooden Porches

What we came up with is a sleek, open deck design with wraparound stairs, made of  composite lumber,  stepped planter boxes as well as a simple wooden roof with boxed, pre-cast fiberglass columns. We also installed the new paver patio and pool coping.

Wooden Planters, Composite Decking, Outdoor Structures, Shade Structures
PreCast Columns, Fiberglass Columns, HB&G Columns, Custom Woodwoek Since entertaining was a major criteria for this project, the new design offers an increased traffic flow onto and off of the deck with an additional stairway at the rear which accesses the shed and the swimming pool filter.  The trim boards are all opaque-stained pine and the ceiling is vinyl bead-board installed over half-inch plywood.  With architectural 3-tab roof shingles on top which match the roof of the house, this entire area is now virtually maintenance-free!

We also installed the water feature, (rear), the details of which can be seen on our "Ponds" page elsewhere on this site.
